BJP Protests Rahul Gandhi's Anti-Hindu Remarks

BJP workers in Panaji protested against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's 'anti-Hindu' remarks made in the Lok Sabha. BJP leader Sankalp Amonkar accused Gandhi of frequently insulting Hindus. Protestors burned an effigy of Gandhi in front of the state Congress office, alleging Gandhi incites people on religious lines.

BJP workers and leaders staged a morcha in Panaji on Tuesday, protesting against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's alleged ''anti-Hindu'' remarks made in the Lok Sabha.

''Rahul Gandhi has been insulting Hindus frequently. We will not tolerate his behaviour. He is behaving childishly in Parliament, violating all rules,'' charged BJP leader Sankalp Amonkar.

Protestors later set ablaze an effigy of Gandhi in front of the state Congress office.

Another BJP leader accused Gandhi of inciting people on religious lines after assuming the role of Leader of the Opposition.

In his inaugural address as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi stirred controversy by criticising the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that those identifying as Hindus engage in ''violence and hate'' continuously.
