BJP Refutes Congress Claims on Budget, Highlights Inclusive Approach

The BJP on Wednesday dismissed the Congress charge of the Union Budget being 'discriminatory' towards opposition-ruled states and asserted that every state and section has been taken care of by the Modi government.
Participating in the general discussion on the budget for 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha, BJP MP from Tripura Biplab Deb proclaimed the NDA's governance ambitions till 2047 and its aspiration to elevate India to the world's largest economy. He mentioned an additional allocation of Rs 4.82 lakh crore for states.
Deb criticized Congress and opposition parties for alleging threats to the Constitution, recalling Congress's frequent invocation of Article 356 and the 1975 Emergency. He ridiculed Congress's electoral performance and expressed confidence in BJP's future success, predicting India will soon be the third largest economy globally.
The BJP representative also lauded the Modi government's northeast development efforts, noting significant infrastructure improvements and asserting that corruption dominated during Congress's tenure.
