Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday criticized the BJP, alluding to an internal rift within the party by referring to Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya as a 'pawn'.
Maurya responded to Yadav's jabs by calling him a 'Congress pawn', escalating the war of words.
Yadav, who spoke at the unveiling of a 'Samvidhan-Manstambh' at SP headquarters, also questioned the Yogi Adityanath government's claimed zero-tolerance stance on corruption. He commented on recent allegations of corruption involving state officials, despite a subsequent retraction.
