Opposition parties in Delhi have called the death of three civil services aspirants due to basement flooding a 'murder,' labeling it a 'man-made disaster.' The tragedy has sparked criticism against the AAP-led Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and government.
While the Arvind Kejriwal-led party sought to blame the BJP for neglecting the city's drainage system during its 15-year tenure, Rajinder Nagar MLA and MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak called for an impartial investigation and strict action against those responsible.
The victims, two females and a male, were trapped inside a flooded library due to a sudden downpour. BJP leaders have accused the AAP government of negligence, while Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera demanded accountability and action to prevent future incidents.
