As assembly polls loom in key states, Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi has called upon party leaders to remain vigilant and maintain the momentum generated during the Lok Sabha elections. Gandhi asserts that the 'mahaul (public mood)' is currently in the party's favor but warns against complacency and overconfidence.
Gandhi criticized the Modi government for not learning from its significant decline in the Lok Sabha elections, alleging that it persists in dividing communities and spreading fear. She references the Supreme Court's intervention against orders by the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand governments as a temporary relief.
Slamming the Union Budget, Gandhi stated it fails to address the pressing demands of farmers and youth, and the widespread disappointment is evident despite the government's claims. She also highlighted failures in national security and ongoing crises in regions like Jammu and Kashmir and Manipur, urging party members to stay united and purpose-driven.
