Speaking to the Indian diaspora in Poland's capital, Modi noted that India's foreign policy has shifted from maintaining distance to fostering close relationships with all countries. This was met with enthusiastic chants of 'Modi-Modi' from the audience.
Modi's upcoming visit to Kyiv, the first by an Indian prime minister to Ukraine since its independence in 1991, is a significant diplomatic move. He intends to share India's perspectives on peace with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This visit follows his high-profile trip to Moscow, which had prompted criticism from the US and its Western allies.
During his address, Modi emphasized India's role as a global humanitarian force, always prioritizing 'Humanity first' in crises. Modi's visit to Poland marks the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 45 years.
