India-Singapore Leaders Discuss Strategic Partnership at ISMR
Indian ministers met with Singapore's President and Prime Minister during the second India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable. Discussions focused on enhancing the bilateral strategic partnership. The meeting precedes Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expected visit to Singapore and involved key ministers from both countries to further elevate cooperation.

In a significant diplomatic engagement, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw held discussions with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Monday. The talks aimed to further the bilateral strategic partnership between India and Singapore.
The ministers are attending the second India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) to deliberate on bilateral cooperation and mutual interests. 'Honoured to jointly call on President @Tharman_S of Singapore. Conveyed the warm greetings of President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister @narendramodi. Value his guidance on ways to further take forward the India-Singapore Strategic Partnership,' Jaishankar posted after the meeting.
Similarly, Jaishankar informed about their meeting with Prime Minister Wong, expressing appreciation for Wong's continued engagement with the ISMR. This high-level meeting, also involving their Singaporean counterparts, reviews progress since the first ISMR in New Delhi in September 2022, and sets the stage for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's likely visit next month.
