Maharashtra Leaders Discuss Seat-Sharing for Assembly Polls

Maharashtra's political landscape is gearing up for the state assembly elections as Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar held seat-sharing discussions in Nagpur.
The talks, which lasted approximately three hours on Saturday, revolved around dividing seats for the upcoming polls likely scheduled for October-November, according to BJP sources.
So far, an agreement has been reached for 173 seats, with the BJP securing the most significant portion, followed by Shiv Sena and the NCP led by Ajit Pawar. Discussions for the remaining 115 seats will continue in future meetings involving Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule and senior NCP leaders Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel.
