Former Chief Minister and Congress candidate Bhupinder Singh Hooda remains optimistic about his party's performance in the ongoing Haryana Assembly election results. Having secured his position in the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi Assembly constituency, Hooda expressed confidence that Congress is nearing a majority win amidst the ongoing vote count.
Speaking to reporters, Hooda highlighted his belief in Congress overtaking the majority, despite reports of counting being halted at several places. He likened the election to a game, acknowledging shifting dynamics but predicting a favorable outcome with Congress making the decisive 'goal.'
In the latest updates, Hooda has defeated BJP candidate Manju by a substantial margin of 70,626 votes. While Congress has secured nine seats and leads in 27, BJP leads in 44 seats with four already won. Other parties, including the Indian National Lok Dal and BSP, also show varying leads in the 90-seat assembly race.
