Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has accused the central government of instigating a 'language war' by imposing Hindi on the state. He asserts that Tamil Nadu will not tolerate the dominance of any language over Tamil, despite not opposing any particular language.
Stalin emphasized the state's commitment to a Tamil-English bilingual policy, recalling the DMK's long-standing struggle against Hindi dominance since 1965. The Chief Minister cited a recent conversation with a young girl in Cuddalore, symbolizing the resistance among Tamil Nadu's youth.
As DMK members continue to protest against Hindi imposition, BJP state chief K Annamalai questioned the state's language education policy. Annamalai challenged Stalin on social media, asking why government school students are denied the opportunity to learn a third language offered in CBSE and Matriculation schools.
