In a political sweep across Haryana, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged victorious in the local body elections, capturing 25 out of 32 seats in municipal contests held on March 2.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the outcome, attributing the remarkable success to the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shah expressed his gratitude on social media, emphasizing that Haryana remains a stronghold of faith for Modi's leadership.
The election results further cemented the BJP's dominance, with the party claiming nine mayoral positions in key cities like Ambala, Gurugram, and Panipat. Noteworthy victories included BJP's Shelja Sandeep Sachdeva in Ambala, who surpassed her Congress rival by 20,487 votes, and Tilak Raj in Gurugram, winning with a margin of 1,79,485 votes.
