The BJP's Punjab unit has accused the AAP government of failing to deliver on its promises to flood-affected residents and threatened to launch a state-wide agitation if the administration continues to evade responsibility.
According to the opposition, the Bhagwant Mann government misled flood-hit citizens by claiming compensation would be disbursed within 45 days, with no evident action at the ground level.
BJP vice president Subhash Sharma highlighted that despite CM Mann's September 12 announcement of Rs 20,000 per acre compensation to be given to farmers within 45 days, numerous affected families remain without aid. He criticized the state government for its inaction and showmanship, stressing the urgent need for financial assistance for those needing to repair homes and purchase farming resources.
