Karnataka's political climate heats up as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah faces leadership challenges within the Congress party. Basavaraja Rayareddy, his chief advisor, firmly stated that Siddaramaiah's five-year term would remain intact, dismissing any discussions of a power shift as mere speculation.

Amid speculations of a power-sharing deal between Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D K Shivakumar, several legislators have traveled to New Delhi to urge the Congress high command for leadership change. However, Rayareddy questioned the reasons behind replacing a non-corrupt leader like Siddaramaiah.

As the Congress government reaches its halfway mark, internal discussions continue. Though some MLAs back Shivakumar, Rayareddy assured that any leadership change would only be addressed in a Congress Legislature Party meeting, reinforcing Siddaramaiah's leadership stability.
