The joint military exercise 'Harimau Shakti' has commenced in Rajasthan, marking a significant step toward broadening defense ties between India and Malaysia. Running from December 5-18, the military drill aims to integrate joint counter-terrorist strategies and operational tactics.
This is the fifth edition of 'Harimau Shakti,' and it features the Indian Army's Dogra Regiment alongside the Malaysian 25th Battalion Royal Malaysian Army. Held at the Mahajan Field Firing Range, the exercise is meticulously designed to rehearse sub-conventional operations under the UN's Chapter VII mandate.
Beyond tactical drills like cordon, search, and destroy missions, the exercise encompasses yoga and martial arts, focusing on improving military interoperability. Both sides view this joint venture as a boon for strengthening bilateral relations and sharing combat expertise.
