At the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah articulated his concerns about the opposition INDIA bloc, describing it as 'on life support' with potential to be moved into the 'ICU' due to internal discord and ineffective strategies. In contrast, he praised the BJP's efficient, around-the-clock election machinery.
Abdullah drew attention to the opposition's failure to include key parties like Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in alliances, a misstep evident during the Bihar elections. He argued that the BJP's incredible work ethic and organizational strategy pose significant challenges, emphasizing the need for the Congress to lead the opposition efforts.
While dismissing claims of EVM rigging, Abdullah asserted that electoral manipulation could occur through voter list adjustments, exemplified by recent Jammu and Kashmir delimitations. He concluded with a call for transparency in electoral processes and humorously noted his differing view from his father's on election integrity.
