On Thursday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann arrived at the Golden Temple to meet with the Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat concerning his remarks on the 'Golak' issue. This meeting was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the 'Shri Akal Takht Sahib'. During the session, Jathedars presented Mann with a monthly Gurdwara Gazette magazine related to the Sikh code of conduct, alongside letters from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
Previously, Mann declared he had not requested a time change for his appearance before the Akal Takht Sahib after being summoned over alleged statements against 'Guru ki Golak'. In a post on X, Mann confirmed his readiness to appear at 10 am on January 15, respecting the directive of the Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
The situation began when the Akal Takht Secretariat issued a notice stating Mann had requested a schedule change due to prior commitments. Consequently, the Sikh authority rescheduled his appearance to 4:30 pm on January 15. Interestingly, on January 8, Mann requested that his explanation be live broadcast, asserting global interest and transparency in the matter.
