BJP vs Congress: Bridging the Gap in Northeast India

BJP leader Nitin Nabin criticized Congress for its alleged neglect of northeastern India, accusing it of vote-bank politics and appeasement. He lauded the BJP government for fostering regional development and integration, highlighting efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership aimed at socio-economic inclusivity.

In a scathing critique, BJP chief Nitin Nabin accused the Congress of betraying northeastern India and catering to vote-bank politics. Speaking at an election rally in Cachar district, he claimed it was the BJP that had bridged the gap between the region and the rest of India.

Nabin argued that the Congress governments had turned Assam's Barak Valley into a crime hub, leading to their electoral defeat due to appeasement of infiltrators. He praised the BJP-led government's achievements in banking inclusivity through the Jan Dhan Yojana, emphasizing the transformation brought about by development initiatives.

Addressing another gathering in Sribhumi district, Nabin reiterated how Congress's divisive tactics had hindered progress in the region. He asserted that the BJP's governance model, focusing on both 'Virasat' (heritage) and 'vikash' (development), had deterred criminal activities, ensuring people's trust in continued leadership.
