Ukraine's Drone Strike on Moscow: A New Escalation

Ukraine executed its most significant drone attack on Moscow to date, resulting in substantial damage and the diversion of around 50 flights. At least one woman was killed, and dozens of homes were wrecked.
Russia claimed the destruction of 20 Ukrainian drones in the Moscow region and 124 more in other regions. This attack led to extensive flight diversions and temporary airport closures. Russian authorities labeled the act as terrorism, stressing that civilian areas were targeted.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov criticized Ukraine's leadership, reinforcing the need for Russia's ongoing military efforts in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Kyiv defended its actions as a justified response to Russian offensives. Both sides have increasingly leveraged drone technology, highlighting the evolving nature of modern warfare.
