In the first quarter of 2025, housing sales across seven major Indian cities have experienced a significant decline, dropping by an estimated 28% due to rising prices and global uncertainties, as reported by real estate consultant Anarock.
The data shows housing sales decreased to 93,280 units compared to 1,30,170 units in the same period last year. Key areas affected include Delhi-NCR, with a 20% sales decrease, and Mumbai Metropolitan Region, with a 26% drop. Bengaluru and Pune also witnessed declines of 16% and 30%, respectively.
