In a bid to avert a water crisis this summer, Delhi's government plans to appoint nodal officers in four divisions to tackle grievances and ensure efficient water distribution, Delhi Water Minister Parvesh Verma announced.
The strategy involves daily reviews and preparations for acute scarcity areas. Verma highlighted the installation of tube wells, increased tanker numbers, and improved infrastructure as key initiatives.
Additionally, Verma noted corrective measures being taken to rectify previous mismanagement issues. Allocations for city development include Rs 1 lakh crore, underlining the commitment to long-term water solutions.
