Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has set a firm deadline for addressing Bengaluru's pothole crisis, ordering all potholes to be filled within a week. This directive echoes a previous order aimed at October 31 completion across five corporation limits.
Siddaramaiah attributed delays to unprecedented rainfall but remains committed to keeping Bengaluru's roads in good condition. The CM spoke after initiating road improvement projects in the Gandhinagar Assembly constituency, noting that white-topping is underway and offers a 25-30 year lifespan for roads.
The chief minister has also allocated Rs 8,000 crore in the budget for constituency development and assured funding support to urban, rural, and opposition MLAs for comprehensive improvement.
