Delhi Airport, the busiest in the country, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first in India to handle over 40 million passengers annually while attaining 'water-positive' status, according to operator Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL).
The term 'water-positive' refers to the airport's ability to replenish more water than it uses, a feat that has earned it recognition from the NITI Aayog - CII Water Neutrality Framework.
This accolade follows DIAL's successful demonstration of Scope I Water Neutrality, underscoring its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
