Karnataka's IT Minister Priyank Kharge, along with government officials, convened with executives from top companies in the Outer Ring Road corridor to address urgent infrastructure bottlenecks. The meeting, organized by the Outer Ring Road Companies Association, aimed to resolve mobility and civic challenges in this strategic business hub, according to officials.
Key issues highlighted included last-mile metro connectivity, service road conditions, congestion at crucial junctions, and telecom disruptions. The minister assured Rs 450 crore for road upgrades from Silk Board to KR Puram. He emphasized the corridor's role in Karnataka's tech economy and committed to systematic, high-impact solutions, promising regular updates.
A high-level committee, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, supports the initiative. Greater Bengaluru Authority's Chief Commissioner noted improved coordination under the GBA framework, ensuring smoother project execution. Discussions also explored enhancing public transport and walkability, with potential industry involvement through CSR.
