India's Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) sector is set for monumental growth, with projections indicating the creation of over 25 million jobs by 2030, spurred by expanding infrastructure development. CIEL HR's recent EPC Sector Talent Study, 2025, reveals a 51% surge in hiring since 2020, underscoring the significant employment potential.
According to CIEL HR Managing Director and CEO Aditya Narayan Mishra, this rise in hiring will persist as the sector absorbs a substantial proportion of India's emerging labor pool. While Artificial Intelligence will bolster efficiencies in engineering and supply chain management, workforce demand is expected to remain robust, contrary to fears of automation-led job reductions.
Meanwhile, the EPC industry faces a widening talent gap, with 60% of job postings targeting engineers with over six years of experience. The highest demand exists for roles in roads, highways, and renewables, signaling a pressing need for skilled professionals as India's infrastructure ambitions continue to accelerate.
