Water Shortage Persists in Delhi Due to Low Production at Key Plants

Delhi's water supply woes persist as production at two key treatment plants, Wazirabad and Chandrawal, remains below capacity. The Delhi Jal Board reports a shortfall of approximately 90 million gallons daily due to lower water levels in the Yamuna, which has fallen below the average mark.
The reduced flow impacts several areas throughout the city, including South Extension, Greater Kailash, and Karol Bagh. Discussions with Haryana to increase the water supply are ongoing, yet a definitive timeline for resolution remains unclear. The board aims to achieve its target production capacity to meet summer demands.
