Norway's Ski Scandal: Team Coach Suspended for Jumpsuit Cheating

The Norwegian Ski Federation has taken decisive action, suspending two key staff members amidst allegations of cheating at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim. Team coach Magnus Brevik and equipment manager Adrian Livelten manipulated jumpsuits to illegally enhance performance, resulting in the disqualification of two athletes.
Acting swiftly, the federation enforced immediate suspensions for Brevik and Livelten, pending further investigation. "The nature of the revelations demanded immediate measures," noted Acting General Secretary Ola Keul, underlining the severity of the infraction.
Chair of the ski jumping committee, Stine Korsen, expressed Norway's openness to an international investigation by the FIS to ensure transparency and accountability. Meanwhile, Bine Norcic will serve as acting coach during Brevik's suspension.
