The Norwegian Ski Federation has taken disciplinary action against two of its staff members, including national team coach Magnus Brevik, following revelations of cheating during the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim.
After two athletes were disqualified over manipulated jumpsuits, the federation deemed the situation severe enough to suspend Brevik and equipment manager Adrian Livelten immediately and indefinitely.
The ski jumping committee chair, Stine Korsen, expressed openness to an investigation by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) while the affected coach and athletes have publicly apologized for the incident.
