Joydeep Karmakar, a celebrated Indian shooter and coach, has been abruptly suspended from all shooting activities in West Bengal, a decision that has quickly become a contentious issue within the sporting community.
The West Bengal Rifle Association (WBRA) initiated the suspension after Karmakar publicly criticized the selection process for the upcoming National Games, alleging corruption and favoritism. He specifically pointed out that lower-ranked shooters were chosen over higher-ranked candidates.
