Unimech Aerospace, renowned for its expertise in manufacturing high-precision parts for the aerospace industry, announced on Wednesday that it has successfully raised Rs 250 crore from investors via private placement financing. Notable investors include Steadview Capital Mauritius Ltd, ValueQuest Scale Fund, and Evolvence India Fund IV Ltd. The newly raised funds are intended to bolster the company's ongoing expansion efforts and strategic objectives, according to Anil Puthan, Chairman and Managing Director of Unimech Aerospace. The Bengaluru-based firm is also preparing to file draft papers with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Established in 2016 with just five founding members, Unimech Aerospace has grown exponentially to achieve over Rs 200 crore in revenue and currently employs 380 people as of FY2023-24, all without prior external funding. Anand Rathi Advisors provided advisory services for this transaction.

The company specializes in high-precision tooling for aero-engines and airframes, as well as complex components and electro-mechanical turnkey systems serving the aerospace, defence, energy, and semiconductor industries.
