On Friday, Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the government's commitment to supporting these initiatives, stating the need to address regional disparities in technological readiness and resources.
During the Rajya Sabha session, Vaishnaw affirmed the government's stance in viewing India as a unified nation open to facilitating AI companies wherever they choose to operate. This approach is part of the broader India AI Mission which focuses on pivotal sectors like climate change, healthcare, and agriculture, helping to drive regional development.
Vaishnaw also praised India's growing AI ecosystem, noting the country's rising influence in technology advancements such as AI, semiconductors, and drones. The minister emphasized that India seeks to be at the forefront of global technology development.
