PM Modi Greenlights Major Infra Projects in Maharashtra and Beyond

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Union Cabinet's approval of crucial infrastructure projects including the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail in Maharashtra, Pune Metro Phase-1 extension, and new metro corridors in Bengaluru. Additionally, airport projects in Bagdogra, West Bengal, and Bihta, Bihar have been approved to boost air connectivity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday highlighted the Union Cabinet's continuous focus on modernizing Maharashtra's infrastructure, as it approved the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project.

Modi took to X, formerly Twitter, to express that this will link key areas in and around Thane, enhancing both comfort and convenience for commuters. The Cabinet's green light to extend Pune Metro Phase-1 marks another step forward in boosting the city's infrastructure, he added.

Additional green lights were given to expand Bengaluru's metro rail network, introducing two new corridors and 30 more stations. This move will substantially improve commuter experience and 'Ease of Living,' according to Modi.

Approved airport projects in Bagdogra, West Bengal, and Bihta, Bihar, totaling Rs 2,962 crore, aim to enhance air connectivity, vital for tourism and commercial growth. The new civilian enclaves at these locations promise seamless travel, Modi affirmed.
