Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday advised the industry against the habitual appeal for tax cuts, emphasizing the importance of such funds for the government's welfare schemes targeting the needy.
Addressing a gathering, Gadkari, who handles road transport and highways, projected a decrease in logistics costs in India to 9% over the next two years, down from the current 14-16%.
The minister underlined the importance of reducing production costs while maintaining quality, advocating for capital investments as a path to job creation and positioning India favorably in the global market through increased exports.
