India Revises Rice Export Inspections for EU States
India has limited the requirement for a certificate of inspection for rice exports to specific European Union member states. This requirement will not apply to other European countries for six months, according to a notification from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade.

In a recent announcement, India clarified that the necessity for certificates of inspection for rice exports is now confined to particular EU member states.
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) issued a notification stating that the exemption applies to other European countries for a duration of six months.
As the official export certification body, the Export Inspection Council of India plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of rice shipments, particularly to key importers like the UK, Netherlands, Italy, and Germany.
