Tata Electronics and C-DAC Join Forces to Bolster India's Semiconductor Ecosystem

Tata Electronics and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) have formalized a partnership to advance indigenous electronics and semiconductor solutions in India. This collaboration, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to bolster the nation's semiconductor design capabilities.
The agreement was signed on September 2, 2025, at SEMICON India, witnessed by Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Railways, and Electronics & Information Technology. With substantial investments in India's first commercial Fab in Gujarat and an OSAT facility in Assam, Tata Electronics is set to revolutionize the semiconductor sector, addressing demands across various industries.
The partnership will leverage Tata Electronics' Fab technology to support startups, MSMEs, and academia, fostering a thriving semiconductor design and IP ecosystem. C-DAC will play a pivotal role in policy implementation under MeitY's initiatives, aiming for comprehensive support from design innovations to manufacturing advancements, enhancing India's global semiconductor footprint.
