The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced plans to extend platforms at 32 metro stations to alleviate congestion during peak hours. Stations such as Noida Sector-15, 16, and 18 are included in this initiative, which aims to enhance the overall commuter experience.
A tender, valued at approximately Rs 5.71 crore, has been issued for the project and is expected to be completed within one year from the start date. The bidding process began on October 24 and will conclude by November 17, with technical evaluations set for November 18.
The platform expansions are designed to accommodate longer trains and larger passenger volumes, as part of DMRC's ongoing infrastructure improvement efforts. Officials stress that this upgrade will provide significant benefits to passengers, including improved safety and reduced travel congestion.
