IndiGo, India's largest airline, is grappling with operational challenges after the implementation of new flight duty norms led to widespread flight disruptions. Hundreds of flights faced cancellations and delays, drawing attention from regulatory authorities.
IATA Director General Willie Walsh addressed the issue, noting IndiGo's progress in resuming full operations but emphasized that the airline is best positioned to provide detailed updates.
In response to the disruptions, Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu assured the Lok Sabha that strict action will be taken against the airline. Meanwhile, IndiGo's CEO Pieter Elbers confirmed that operations have stabilized.
