Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a significant step towards enhancing wildlife safety and regional connectivity on Sunday by laying the foundation stone for the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor in Assam. Valued at Rs 6,957 crore, this project aims to ensure safe wildlife movement and promote ecotourism, while also reducing road accidents on National Highway-715 through the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve.
Furthering his visit, Modi virtually inaugurated two Amrit Bharat Express trains from Assam to enhance long-distance rail connectivity. The Dibrugarh-Gomti Nagar and Kamakhya-Rohtak routes will link Assam with major states like West Bengal, Bihar, and Delhi, offering modern amenities and reducing travel time significantly.
Expressing his enthusiasm, the Prime Minister remarked on social media about the transformative impact of these developments, particularly in safeguarding wildlife during the monsoon season and improving overall connectivity for Assam's residents.
