Arunachal Pradesh Civil Aviation Minister Balo Raja has engaged with officials from two private airlines to discuss enhancing flight connectivity to remote Advanced Landing Grounds (ALGs) in the state and major cities in southern India, such as Bengaluru and Chennai.

In a meeting held in New Delhi, Raja was accompanied by state Civil Aviation Secretary Mamta Riba and other officials. They met with Alliance Air CEO Rajarshi Sen and SpiceJet Vice President (Flight Operations) C.S. Palani. Raja expressed gratitude to Alliance Air for its current services to airports like Ziro, Pasighat, and Tezu, which facilitate visits to local attractions and religious sites such as Parashuram Kund and Namsai Golden Pagoda.

Raja urged the introduction of fixed-wing flights to other ALGs like Mechukha, aligning with the Indian government's vision for frontier development and connectivity. Discussions also included improved services for students and patients needing to travel to southern Indian cities. Both airline executives responded positively, hinting at increased operations and new flight services from Hollongi Airport near Itanagar.
