The Parliamentary panel has applauded the Himalayan Institute of Alternatives (HIAL), founded by Ladakh's educator and activist Sonam Wangchuk, as 'exemplary' and advocates for its recognition by the University Grants Commission. The Institute has been noted for its innovative and impactful educational contributions.

In a push for representation, the central government has directed state administrations to prioritize the appointment of women officers and those from Scheduled Castes and Tribes to key positions under central deputation, aiming to ensure diverse and inclusive governance.

In a major crackdown, the CBI has charged four Chinese nationals and 17 others for orchestrating a vast transnational cyber fraud network. This operation allegedly siphoned off over Rs 1,000 crore through 111 shell companies. Officials disclosed these findings in a detailed chargesheet shared on Sunday.
