Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma has taken a firm stand against substandard infrastructure work, particularly in the education sector. During a significant event in Aizawl, he laid the foundation stones for new educational facilities, including the Mara Girls' Hostel and eight new schools.
The Chief Minister announced the formation of a monitoring committee dedicated to overseeing development projects, having already reviewed 87 initiatives. He urged all involved agencies to commit to quality and responsibility. The initiative is set to benefit approximately 3,200 students from the Mara community, marking a historic milestone in their educational journey.
The development includes the construction of a six-storey hostel for Mara girls in Delhi, accommodating 120 students and featuring a conference hall. The projects, involving a total investment of over Rs 20 crore, underscore the government's commitment to the educational advancement of the state's tribal communities.
