The potential of India's younger generation to shape the nation's future in diverse fields including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and clean energy was highlighted by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Speaking at the National Technology Day event at the University of Delhi, Sandhu celebrated India's longstanding scientific tradition.

He emphasized that technology advancement is a significant opportunity for modern India, encouraging institutions to embrace innovation. Sandhu noted the pressing urban challenges like pollution, calling for synergy between scientific institutions and urban developers to create climate-smart models and green infrastructure.

The event was led by Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh, who stressed no compromise on technology. NITI Aayog member Gobardhan Das applauded India's early atomic theory contributions, juxtaposing ancient sage Maharshi Kanada with English chemist John Dalton.
