In a high-stakes operation, Delhi Police Crime Branch and Haryana Special Task Force (STF) collaborated to take down three shooters associated with the Himanshu Bhau gang. The encounter occurred in Sonipat's Kharkhoda area, leaving one Delhi Police officer injured but safe, authorities reported.

The deceased shooters have been identified as Ashish alias Lalu, Sunny Kharar, and Vicky Ridhana. Notably, Ashish and Vicky were implicated in the Burger King shootout on June 18 when three men on a bike fatally shot Aman Joon at a Rajouri Garden outlet.

Gang leader Himanshu Bhau had claimed responsibility for the shooting on social media, citing it as retaliation for the killing of an associate, Shakti Dada. With bounties of Rs 1 lakh each, the trio was wanted by both Haryana and Delhi Police. Further reports suggest Ashish was linked to 13 cases involving serious crimes, while Sunny was accused in 4-5 cases.

Additional details are awaited. Meanwhile, Interpol has issued a red-corner notice against Himanshu Bhau. The Delhi Police had previously applied the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against the gang in May after they targeted the Fusion car showroom and demanded a Rs 5 crore ransom.
