Tensions escalate between Union Minister Giriraj Singh and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, days ahead of critical assembly elections. Singh slammed Soren's recent accusations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly promoting societal divisions and failing marginalized communities, emphasizing instead the NDA's consistent support for farmers through loan waivers.
Addressing Soren's comments on border security and alleged Bangladeshi infiltration, Singh accused the Chief Minister of facilitating illegal entries into Jharkhand. He further criticized the UPA government's lone instance of waiving farmers' loans worth Rs. 72,000 crores, claiming the NDA, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been more supportive of farmers.
In response, Soren condemned BJP's tactics, alleging they fuel Hindu-Muslim tensions and neglect essential issues for voters. He called for accountability from BJP leaders and highlighted his government's efforts to support the poor, while BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused Soren's coalition of ignoring tribal issues for political gain. As elections near, the political environment remains fraught with controversy.
