Mumbai's political leadership is under increased threat scrutiny following a recent security alert involving an international source. On Friday, a message from a Pakistani number was received by the Mumbai Traffic Police, threatening Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The individual identified as Malik Shahbaz Humayun Raza.

Upon receiving the threat, Mumbai Police swiftly registered a case with the Worli Police, launching an immediate investigation into the matter. This latest incident follows a familiar pattern, as Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also recently received a death threat.

Shinde, expressing resilience, remarked that such intimidations are not unfamiliar to him, recounting past threats during the dance bar closures and other incidents. In related developments, Mumbai Police have apprehended two individuals from Buldhana concerning an email threat to bomb the Deputy Chief Minister's vehicle.
