Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat, in a conference on natural farming at Raj Bhavan, urged state ministers and legislators to promote natural farming actively. The event was attended by notable figures including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde.

Devvrat, who also governs Gujarat, emphasized the distinctions between organic and natural farming and called for a mission-based approach to spreading natural farming practices across Maharashtra. Chief Minister Fadnavis announced a new mission to be led by the governor, advocating that this initiative will significantly benefit farmers.

Fadnavis further mentioned that procurement centers for cotton and soybean would start operations on October 30, advising farmers against selling their produce below the Minimum Support Price (MSP) to traders.
