An air ambulance scheduled to fly Bangladesh's ailing former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia to London is due to land in Dhaka on Tuesday, as confirmed by aviation officials. The special flight, organized by the Qatar government, aims to transfer Zia for advanced medical treatment.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), the aircraft is expected to arrive at 8 am and depart at 9 pm the same day. This venture involves a jet rented from the Germany-based FAI Aviation Group, following a decision by the Qatari authorities to replace the initial plane intended for the long-range medical evacuation.
Khaleda Zia, aged 80, and a three-time Prime Minister, has been under care at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka for several conditions. Her trip has been postponed twice due to health issues and technical delays, as reported by BNP officials and her medical team. The air ambulance is equipped with full critical-care apparatus and staffed by an in-flight intensive care team.
