Bahrain and Kuwait have strongly condemned a series of missile attacks launched by Iran, successfully intercepting seven missiles aimed at their territories. The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the attacks as a breach of sovereignty and framed them as acts of aggression.
In the backdrop of rising hostilities in the Gulf, Bahrain, which hosts the US Navy's Fifth Fleet, remains on high alert. The US military confirmed intercepted attempts by Iran and retaliated against Iranian facilities responsible for the aggressive operations.
According to the US Central Command, the conflict saw American forces neutralizing threats against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, leading to further retaliatory strikes. Despite Tehran's claims, US officials dismissed allegations of successful hits on the Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain.
