The Kremlin has dismissed media reports suggesting that Russia plotted to assassinate the CEO of German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall as 'fake' and based on information from unnamed sources.
Both CNN and the New York Times claimed that U.S. intelligence uncovered a Russian plan to target the executive, whose company supplies artillery shells and military vehicles to Ukraine.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov criticized the reports, stating they lacked 'serious documentation' and should not be taken seriously.
