Israel Kills Two Senior Hamas Militants in West Bank Airstrike

Israel announced on Saturday it had eliminated two senior Hamas militants, targeting them in an airstrike on their vehicle in Jenin, located in the West Bank.

The Israel Security Agency and the Israel Defense Forces identified the militants as Ahmed Abu Ara and Rafet Dawasi. According to a joint statement, they were implicated in planning a recent shooting that killed Israeli man Yonatan Deutsch.

This development follows a series of escalations in the West Bank, as violence between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants has intensified since the Gaza war broke out. Hamas stated their actions were in retaliation for an Israeli strike on a school in Gaza, which killed around 90 displaced Palestinians.
