Trump Revives Intelligence Sharing Amidst Ukraine Peace Talks
President Donald Trump announced near-resumption of intelligence sharing with Ukraine, amidst high-stakes peace talks with Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia. The discussions also involve potential military aid and a minerals deal. CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed earlier intelligence sharing suspension had pressured Ukraine for peace talks with Russia.

President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the United States is on the verge of resuming intelligence sharing with Ukraine. This comes ahead of critical talks with Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia, aimed at facilitating peace discussions with Russia.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe stated earlier that the U.S. had suspended intelligence sharing to apply pressure on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. This move was accompanied by a halt in military aid to Ukraine, potentially jeopardizing their defense against Russian forces.
The upcoming talks, set to take place in Jeddah, will address both peace negotiations and a minerals deal between the U.S. and Ukraine. Trump also expressed hopes for reaching an agreement that could include a U.S. security guarantee for Ukraine and emphasized the need for Ukraine to demonstrate a stronger commitment to peace.
